The 9070-XR3 was Manufactured to use when working with Fine to Medium Gauge Wire.  What is consider to be "Fine to Medium" Gauge Wire is from .005" (0.13mm) to .040" (1.0mm) or 36 to 18 AWG (American Wire Gauge).  Basically, you can use this Soldering Station for connections on smaller PCB's like in Mobile Phones, but also use it on larger wire like connections on Low Voltage Lighting & Lamp Cords.
The Model 9070-XR3 has a Programmable Sleep Timer (0, 5, 10 & 30 Minutes) Function, a Programmable Centigrade to Fahrenheit Function and a Programmable Calibration Function (± 99°C).
This unit also Features a PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) Technology Program built into it which is commonly referred to as Magic Temperature Compensation Technology.  This program cycles every 20 milliseconds to detect the actual temperature of the soldering iron's heating element/soldering tip and quickly corrects it with a rapid return to the correct set temperature.
This Magic Temperature Compensation Technology also helps keep the soldering iron at a constant temperature no matter what type of job you are working on.  This unit also has a Self Test Function with Full Intelligence on Over-Temps, Short Circuits and Overloads

Included with the X-Tronic 9070-XR3 is the Main 90 Watt Power Unit along with a with a Very Comfortable Ergonomic Grip Soldering Iron, 2 Helping Hands (detachable), 5 Extra Sizes/Styles of Soldering Tips, a Side Mounted Solder Roll Holder, a Top Mounted Soldering Iron Holder with Bakelite Insert, a Wet Sponge, Solder Sucker, Tube of 60/40 Solder and  Stainless Steel Pinpoint Tweezers.
We used Highly Visible Bright Green LED's for the Display Screen on our 9070-XR3 (shown in the 2nd photo above). You will be Pleasantly Surprised how Easy it is to read the Numbers and Symbols on the Display.
The Top Mounted Soldering Iron Holder (shown in the 3rd photo above) is manufactured of Bakelite, which is a Special Polymer that will stop Heat Transfer from the Hot Soldering Iron Tip to any part of the rest of the Main Soldering Station Power Unit.
The 1st photo above shows the 90 Watt Soldering Iron with a Very Comfortable Ergonomic Grip that comes with this unit. The Temperature Range of this Soldering Iron is 194°F~896°F/90°C~480°C with a Temperature Stability of ±1.8°F/1.0°C

The 2nd photo above shows the 5 Extra Sizes/Styles of Soldering Tips that also come with this unit. There is 1 of Each of the Following Sizes & Styles of 980 Series Soldering Tips Included: 1 Each 1.6B, 1 Each 2.2D, 1 Each 3.2C, 1 Each I, and 1 Each K. All Soldering Tips are manufactured from High Quality Copper and Coated with Nickel Chromed Alloys for Strengthening the Hardness of the Tips.
Another New Feature that comes with this unit is our New Set of 2 Helping Hands that are 10" Long (shown in the 3rd photo above). These Helping Hands screw into the 2 Screw Ports on the soldering station and are Very Helpful when working on smaller PCB's to hold them right up in front of you. Of course, these Helping Hands come with every unit, but it is Optional whether you attach them or not.
For your Convenience we have added a Soldering Sucker De-soldering Pump included with this Complete Package (shown in the 1st photo above). This Tool has a Good Bit of Suction and its Simple Design allows Easy One Handed Use with its Compact and Light Weight Design.
There is also a Roll of 60-40 (Tin-Lead) Rosin Core Soldering in a Dispenser Tube (shown in the 2nd photo above). The Size of the Solder is 0.039" (1 mm) in Diameter and the Weight is 0.42 Ounces (12 g). This Pocket Pack of Solder Wire is easy to store and/or keep in your pocket for easy access.
The 3rd photo above shows the Precision Tweezers that also comes with this Unit. These Pinpoint Tweezers are made of Stainless Steel that is Anti-Static with a Non-Magnetic Baked on Paint used on the Surface which is Resistant to most Acids and other Corrosive Substances.
