The PROTECH Luxury Vinyl Planks - 8.7 mm WPC Click Lock - Contemporary Collection is FloorScore® certified, and 100% waterproof. These vinyl planks offer superior wear and scratch protection with a 0.7 mm (28 mil) wear layer and UV coating, not to mention an industry leading warranty to prove it: lifetime residential, with one transfer of ownership warranty, or a 20 year commercial warranty. The attached underlayment provides acoustic, sound and thermal insulation, and hides subfloor imperfections, allowing minimal preparation for most subfloors during installation.
This floor, the Weathered, is one of the most popular ones on the market. It is an intricate blend of the popular grey and has streaks of warm colors, making it easy for color coordination with your furniture. It represents Heritage Grade oak, which displays the wood's natural medley of color and character, and features all of wood's natural features: color variation, mineral streaking, small surface knots, and large filled knots that can be up to two inches in diameter. This creates a floor that is full of visual texture and makes it a great product for those who want an extraordinary and diverse floor. The medium embossed surface, with the fusion of shades and tones, looks and feels like real Heritage Grade hardwood and is easy to maintain. It has the lucid beauty of natural wood, but without the potential problems of wood floor's cracking or warping.
Superior wear protection: 0.7 mm (28 mil) wear layer and UV coating, ensuring your floor will remain the best color along with the best wear and scratch resistant, and is the most Pet friendly
Warranty: Lifetime Residential, with one transfer of ownership warranty; 20 year Commercial Warranty
Acoustic underlayment attached: 2mm grey eco-friendly EVA based foam material; feels like rubber, bounces back like memory foam. Quiet and comfortable with sound and thermal insulation. Hides subfloor imperfections, allowing minimal preparation for most subfloors during installation

    Important:
The higher the vinyl content, the lower the risk of the locking areas to break after couple of expand (high temperature) and shrink (low temperature). This product has higher vinyl content than other lower end vinyl floor. Therefore, when you lock two planks together, it takes more efforts to get them fully locked than that for lower vinyl content products. Please make sure the whole tongue area should be inserted into the groove area. You shouldn't see a white line between two planks after they are fully locked. This is very important. Most installers do not have experience on installing this type of high end vinyl floor. Please ask your contractor to contact us before installation if needed.

    Question:
    Can I lay over hardwood?
    Answer:
Yes, you could lay it over hardwood floor, engineer floor, bamboo floor, laminate floor, and tiles. This floor is a floating floor and has 2 mm underlay with it.
    Question:
    Are the edges beveled?
    Answer:
    Micro Beveled Edge
    Question:
I noticed someone said it could be used on a deck. how about in phoenix, az where temps approach 120 degrees f. in the summer, in direct sunlight?
    Answer:
    120 F is not a problem.
We had our floors outdoor in Connecticut for 11 months. Direct sunshine, rain, snow, ice...No problem.
We had our floors outdoor in an environment similar to SC. Again, direct sunshine, rain, etc. No problem.
We did some crazy testing to have cars drive thru (of course not on a busy road or a highway) for more than half year. No big problem.
All products in this collection have UV coating and 28 mil wear layer. You could order samples from other flooring company and see which product is more durable. We had customers did some interesting tests before. One customer even left comments about what he did for this product. You could try it yourself and share with all of us here. Please try something interesting. Our customers have tried screw driver, coins, etc. Well, you could do whatever you want for the samples, something like screw driver is going to void the warranty (Residential: Life time PLUS one ownership transfer; Commercial 20 years) if you apply your creativity on the products you will purchase.
Good luck and we look forward in hearing your interesting test results.
    Question:
Can you put a heating mat under these tiles?
    Answer:
Yes, you could put a heating mat underneath. However, we do not recommend this application. The product is made of virgin vinyl and has 2 mm medium density underlayment. You won't feel cold to stand or walk on the floor in the winter. Of course, you should stand and walk on the floor in the hot summer and won't feel hot. The regular tile or stone is going to be a different story.
    Question:
Can it be laid over carpet? And be removable?
    Answer:
    Not over carpet.
Yes, this floor can be removed. You could take it with you when you move to your next home.
    Question:
Can I buy a transition edge that matches this?
    Answer:
